| So since I'm really bored, I decided to catch up on the movies I didn't get to watch during the school year through blockbuster. And just for fun, I'm going to write reviews for each one of them.
After The Sunset This movie stars Pierce Brosnan, Salma Hayek, and Woody Harrelson in a pretty entertaining film about two thieves stealing Napoleon's diamonds. The plot was well developed and it kept me interested throughout the film. There's a minor love story in it and it goes along well with the main plot. Overall grade -- B to B+
Reno 911! I rented this movie thinking it was going to give me a couple cheap laughs. That being said, I didn't have very high expectations going into this and I was still disappointed. I think I only laughed one part. The movie's plot was weak and it seems like they just stuck it together with what they usually do in their regular television show. Sadly this was a waste of my time and you shouldn't waste your time on this. If you find this movie funny/entertaining, I think you're a brainless tool. Overall grade -- D- to F
The Pursuit of Happyness Based on a true story, Will Smith stars in this movie about Chris Gardner's struggle to make it in the real world without a college education. Personally this story almost made me tear up, it was rather emotional. The movie had a good pace and was well told. The acting was superb, including Jaden Smith, who played Chris Gardener's son. The movie is definitely a feel good movie, especially since it was true. Overall grade -- B+ to A-
The Last Kiss This movie stars Zach Braff and Rachael Bison (from the O.C) in a chick flick. I'm reluctant to call this a romantic movie because it's not really one, so that's why I call it a chick flick. I was hoping for some comedy because the back of the dvd box said it was witty, but there's none. The story was average, like it made sense, but it seems like it would never happen in real life. There was one main story with Zach Braff and then there were 3 minor stories of his friends, which all have their own drama with relationships in their life. They are all intertwine together and they are involved with the main story. The movie had it's moments, and if you're bored and in the mood for a chick flick, this might fit your needs. Overall grade -- C to C+

| Last week our Campus Director Dave Lowe gave a talk about vision and having a vision aligned with God's own heart and it got me thinking about what exactly is God's vision for Epic at Davis. So I found the Shepherd team's vision plan for Epic for the next 5 years.
So 5 years from now, we hoped and prayed for: 40 freshman, 30 Epic students sent on summer projects (stateside and international), movements in Asian frats, 200 hundred students involved in the Epic movement and yearly Epic campus wide outreaches. (There was a lot more, but I'm too lazy to list them all)
Of to date, we have atleast 20 freshman/freshwoman, at least 10 people applied for project, a movement consisting of 60-80 people, and our own men's and women's retreat.
And as I look back at the past two quarters, I am amazed and stunned at what the Lord has done already. In 1 year alone, the Lord has almost met 50% of our goals for 5 years! I've had the pleasure watching of watching God unfold his plan for Epic at UCDavis right before my eyes. Offering myself up for him to use as an instrument for fulfilling his Vision.
Thinking about this encourages me so much, and it reminds me why I love doing campus ministry. The Lord is faithful and He has answered our prayers.
I am excited and eagerly await for what the Lord has planned for this final quarter.
(PS this is THE most spiritual thing i've ever written in my life, my talk wasn't even this spiritual)

| It's always confusing for me during the New Years because I'm Chinese. Like which one should I really be celebrating New Years or Chinese New Years. For years past New Years hasn't been celebrated too much at my house, but we still do some of the things we do during Chinese New Years, i.e. wear red.
For Chinese New Years my family goes all out with eating fish and chicken on top of other goodies. We even end the meal with my favorite...Moon Cake. Plus all the extra money is nice too. So it makes me think if my family celebrates Chinese New Years, then why celebrate New Years. It just doesn't make too much sense to me. Also makes me think when I have my own family will I celebrate both or just one. I know I joke around a lot about being American, eating McDonald's and drinking Coke and I probably come across as some kind of white-washed guy, but I still hold on to some of my Chinese heritage. Going back to my original thought, I really don't know. I think I'm leaning towards celebrating both and putting more emphasis on Chinese New Years.
This year my mom is going back to Hong Kong to celebrate Chinese New Years there, so I don't think we're going to have all the traditional foods we've had in the past because my entire family is too lazy to cook. Hopefully my family won't starve to death due to laziness.
Looking back at 2006...I must say for parts of 2006 I've never had so much fun in my life.
RST 40 - I've never wanted to learn so much for a class before. Plus I never missed a class, which is pretty amazing for me, I don't think I've had perfect attendance for any of my other classes. I also had the chance to learn from Prof Hurst before he retired.
Everyweek - So many great times with the guys, esp with Sam, Kevin and Lynn. Eating out every week, endless conversations and nonstop bonding. The camping trip was a blast too.
Bible Study - Meeting Ray, Alan, and Gene was pretty sweet too. Watching them grow and being a part of it will forever stay with me.
Summer Project - Great experience for me. I learned so much from the staff guys. Learning more about Asian American culture and actually seeing prayer work right in front of me. That was pretty insane.

| So I'm sure that everyone in the privacy of their own room sings. I just caught myself trying, unsuccessfully I might add, Leanne Rhimes - How Do I Live Without You. I'm pretty sure my roommates can hear me too. It's really interesting that we even sing songs we're embrassed to admit we even listen to such as N'SYNC or Backstreet Boys, maybe even the occasional Britney Spears - Hit Me Baby One More Time. (I'm sure everyone has at least one time in their lives has tried to sing that song).
I wonder why this is?
